Vintage Chinese Hand Carved Wood, hand crafted, hand painted and varnished Box. The Carved areas depict floral and bamboo designs including carved cloud faces on front raised panel. The coloring of the box is brown and black contrasting the carvings and background. Black painted floral designs and a bird on the back wall. The lid top image of a lion has faded toward the bottom of the painted image. There is a Secret side Drawer that can pull out out completely. Drawer is shaped like a trapezoid with 4.5” front, 9.25” long sides and a 4” back. Brass thin pulls open top lid and side secret drawer. The lidded box Approximate Measurements: 9.5” long, 6.25” tall backside, 4” tall front side, 5.25” tall sides, 5.5” deep lower sides and 6” deep upper sides. The two sides and back of box extend above the top lid and slant outward at a slight angle. The measurements include these extensions. The box is an older hand made piece in very good vintage used condition. Some fading on the painted areas. Wood carvings are in tact without breaks or chips. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
