This is a plug & play wireless image barcode scanner that can read 1D / 2D bar codes from paper and screen.
1D Barcode Vs 2D Barcode
One-dimensional (1D) barcodes are linear barcodes，with vertical lines made of varying widths and gaps.
Two-dimensional (2D) barcode, encode data generally in square or rectangular patterns of two dimensions.
Laser scanner or 2D imager scanner? How do you know which one is right for you?
Lasers scanner depend on the reflection of laser light to get a good scan.Due to the nature of laser light, only a thin (linear) slice of the barcode can be read at any one time.Laser scanenr can not scan barcodes on screens as screens do not reflect laser light properly.
Imaging scanner works by taking pictures and running sophisticated image processing algorithms on each image to decode barcodes. With CMOS sensor, 2D Imager scanner can read barcodes from computer or mobile device screens.
If your barcode is 2D barcode or you need to read barcodes off a screen, such as computer monitor, smartphone or tablet, a 2D imager is likely the way to go.
According to the nature of its camera focus and photographing， imaging scanner is not sensitive to read long 1D bar code.
If you want to scan one-dimensional barcodes longer than 3 inch， we suggest you purchase laser scanner.Generally, when reading 1D long barcodes, laser scanner can read barcode more easily than imaging scanner.
Long Transmisson Range
Adopt advanced radio frequency wireless technology, singal penetrates walls, ceilings and floors more effectively. Compared to 2.4GHz wireless scanner, our scanner has the advantage of strong signal and long transmission distance.
The transmission distance in barrier free environment can reach up to 400 m / 0.25 mile.
The transmission distance in obstacles environment is less than 100 m / 328ft.
Actual wireless transmission distance will vary as a result of building materials, physical objects and obstacles. The more obstacles, the shorter the transmission distance.
3 Pairing Modes
One Scanner to One Cradle
One scanner only transmits barcode to one USB cradle.
Several units can work independently with different computers in the same area. If you want to use them on multiple computers, each with own scanner and cradle. They won't interface with each other during work.
Multiple Scanner to One Cradle
Multiple scanners transmit barcode to one USB cradle.
Ideal in warehourse when several people are scanning barcode to one computer. One usb cradle can connect to 32 scanners at most.
One Scanner to Multiple Cradle
One scanner transmit barcode to multiple USB cradle at a time.
That will avoid duplication of effort and save time. One scanner can connect to 8 cradle at most
3 Upload Modes:
Instant upload Mode
: Read barcode and upload data synchronously.
Storage Mode:
Read barcode and store data in the bulit-in memory of the scanner. And then scan configuration code to batch upload the data to your device. Internal offline storage supports up to 100000 barcodes.
Non-Losing Mode：
The scanner will upload data synchronously within the wireless range. When the scanner is out of range, the scanned barcode will be stored in memory. When the scanner reaches the wireless range, the stored data is automatically uploaded.
3 Trigger Modes
Manual Trigger Mode
: read barcode only when pull the trigger.
Continuous Scan Mode
: read barcode at a certain frequency. Scanning barcode without pressing any button.
Auto-sensing mode:
Once the barcode is detected, the scanning light will turn on automatically to read the barcode.
Recharge At Any Time.
Long Lasting 800mAh Polymer Battery
The cradle offers charging capacity，when not in use place the scanner on the cradle where it remain charging. Using a 800mAh rechargeable polymer battery, the scanner has a 20 hours of continuous scanning. It can work about two weeks in daily used after full charge. It takes 4 to 5 hours to full charge the scanner.
The capacity of 800mah polymer battery is approximately equal to 1600mAh lithium ion battery. And it Improved safety, polymer battery is more resistant to overcharge than Li-ion battery.
