ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1960's Sheriff Department uniform patch for Cochise County, Arizona, the county seat of which is Bisbee. Cochise was an Apache chief who resisted white advances into his homeland. The patch is shaped like an arrowhead and has an embroidered “Indian” head and shoulders facing to the left.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1960's.
SIZE:
Approximately 5-1/4” in height and 2-5/8” in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.
