    Description

    A Really Great Antique Silver Vegetable Serving Platter!
    This is a beautiful covered vegetable serving platter. This appears to be Sterling Silver but the "sterling" imprint is not on it. There is a filigree design on the edges, on the top and on the handle. On the bottom is stamped "EGWS" with "EPNS" below that and "044/99" at the bottom.There are no other markings. The handle on the top is removable for easy cleaning. The vegetable bottom is 12" long, 9 1/4" wide and 2 3/16" high. The center divider is 2 7/8" high. The bottom weighs approximately 2 1/2 pounds and the top with the handle weighs just under 1 1/2 pounds. The overall weight is almost 4 pounds, very sturdy. This is a really beautiful container that undoubtedly was used in the home of my great grandfather and grandmother in upstate New York and it now can be yours!!!! THIS WILL BE A NICE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION TO USE AND ENJOY!
